“Coffee is a Hug in a Mug” Signs and Magnets

Description

This file set comes with 3 different coffee cup styles and 2 different sizes — and you can make them one or 2 layer, whichever you prefer.

The smaller size works great for magnets and the larger are perfect for wall signs. Check Amazon for magnets. There are a ton of great options there.

Project Details

NOTES:

• The designs look great with either one or two layers.
• You can use whatever material and thickness you prefer. I used 1/8″ material.
• If you’re going to make it even larger than the large version I made, it would look great with either 1/8″ or 1/4″.
• If you’re going to hang it on a wall, I’d either use Command Strips or, if you’re using a single layer then you can hang it from any of the existing holes or spaces. If you’re using a 2 layer version, then you could add holes to the back layer wherever you like. Just be sure the holes are in a place that’s covered by the front layer so they aren’t visible.

MEASUREMENTS:

* NOTE: You can make them any size you like! See the photos for examples. I made a set that are about 10″ tall each. However, I would be careful making them any smaller than the small version I included because the engraving of the small text may be difficult to read if any smaller.

• Large Version: The 2 cups are ~2.18″ x 3.77″ and the mug is ~3.6″ x 3.5″
• Small Version: The 2 cups are ~1.37″ x 2.36″ and the mug is 2.26″ x 2.21″

AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

• That depends on how large you want to make them. I made a set that are about 10″ tall each and at that size they take about 2/3 – 1 whole sheet of 11″ x 19″ material.
• If you make the larger version I have in the file, you can get at least 15 2 layer cups and twice as many single layer from a single sheet of 11″ x 19″ material.
• If you make the smaller version, you can get close to 30 2 layer cups from a single sheet and twice as many single layer.
